Responsibilities and Tasks
Engineering and technical tasks include (but are not limited to):

Undertake structural design tasks from concept to implementation.

Review and modify production drawings for projects including electrical substations, industrial facilities, and site developments.

Design structural components per project and client requirements, under guidance from project managers.

Apply knowledge of structural engineering concepts, principles, codes, and procedures within the structural services sector.

Conduct research and compile project-related data to support decision-making.

Validate and enhance drawings received from senior engineers using CAD software.

Conduct field inspections to verify conditions and gather measurements.

Develop calculations using analytical software.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in structural engineering. PE or FE certification preferred.

Project Background: Experience with electrical substation projects is a plus.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce technical reports and work effectively with clients, team members, consultants, and the public.

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) or equivalent tools.

Teamwork & Growth: Works well in collaborative environments and demonstrates a strong desire for professional development.

Work Environment: Primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork as needed.
